Lisa A. Solowiej
is a Ph.D. candidate at Binghamton University (SUNY) and
Adjunct Instructor of Political Science at the
University of Houston. Her research interests include the American
Congress (legislative behavior, processes, and political
parties), Interest Groups (effectiveness, strategy, and
participation in Congressional hearings), and Gender Studies (women
as both members of Congress and as judges).
Her research has been published, or is
forthcoming, in Law and Social Inquiry, Party Politics, and
Political Research Quarterly.
